PRAYER- 1 Timothy 2:1-8 our public prayers are led by the men of the church and they ask God to help, strengthen the church, guide the government, and protect the Christian. We also thank God for answering our prayers and providing blessings to us beyond what we deserve. Each individual is responsible for praying daily.       more about prayer...

PRAISE- Ephesians 5:19-21; Colossians 3:16-17, in these verses praise is in the form of song. The only music that the New Testament church offered to God was the melody of song. This is what God commanded, and this is what we do. According to these verses the purpose of singing is to praise and honor God, proclaim Bible truths, teach and edify.

PREACHING- Each time we meet a lesson is offered to inform, edify, and teach the gospel. This lesson will be straight from the Bible. This is not a time to amuse or entertain, this is a time to proclaim the word of God. Each speaker understands the enormous responsibility of only speaking what is taught in the Bible. Although speaking styles and abilities differ, the message is the same word of God that was preached 2000 years ago.

PARTAKE OF THE LORD’S SUPPER- We at the Rocky Point Road Church of Christ partake of the Lord’s Supper every Sunday. Why? Because this is what we find the New Testament church doing. In Acts 20:7 we see WHEN they gathered. In 1 Corinthians 10:15-17; we can read WHY they communed , and 1 Corinthians 11:18-34 we understand HOW to partake .

COLLECTION- We can also read that the New Testament church had a place to meet, a plan for teaching the gospel, and Christians who needed help. Each of these tasks require money. God’s plan for funding the church’s work is free will giving by the members only. As a visitor you will not be expected to contribute. See Acts 2:42-47; Acts 11:29-30.

LEARNING- We understand that being a Christian is our vocation as mentioned in Ephesians 4. Since our number one task is to do the Lord’s work we have an extensive ‘on the job training’ program. Bible classes are available for all ages. The Bible is taught as a complete historical record from God to man. We believe that the Bible is complete, and have no need for creeds or ‘religious traditions’.We know that God is not the ‘author of confusion’, and He does not accept religious divisions, so we study the Bible to be unified in doctrine, and purpose.  See John 171 Corinthians 1:10; 14:33; Ephesians 4:1-6
